You’ll wear many hats in this role to manage multiple projects with long life cycles, and you’ll handle them from start to finish. You’ll have much interaction with internal and external customers; this interaction will include periodical regional travel to accompany salespeople to clients’ facilities so you can act as the technical expert for the projects that you own. You’ll use your CAD and design skills, but that will be quite a minor portion of your responsibilities here. The majority of your time will be the management of your projects, ensuring that they flow through the life cycle successfully, and troubleshooting problems along the way. This is an ideal position for someone that’s technically-minded, likes the challenge of managing multiple projects, and thrives in a very hands-on environment. Requirements for this position include solid communication and people skills, ability to interpret engineering drawings and determine engineering solutions, a proficiency in CAD and MS Office tools, and logical problem-solving skills; a strong understanding of BOM management and a familiarity with ISO 9001 standards are also required. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, and a Masters Degree is preferred. 3 to 5 years experience is preferred, as is FMEA and lean manufacturing experience and knowledge.
